Day 2Tangier → Tétouan → ChefchaouenCultural stop • UNESCO medina • Blue city at sunset
Leave Tangier in the morning and begin your journey south with a rich cultural stop before reaching Morocco’s famous blue mountain town.
The day starts with a visit to Tétouan, a city known for its deep Andalusian heritage and elegant historical character. As you walk through important sites such as El Feddan Square, Mellah Avenue, and the UNESCO-listed medina, you’ll discover a side of northern Morocco shaped by both tradition and refined urban history. Later, continue into the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, where the mood shifts into something softer and more dreamlike. On arrival, explore its blue-painted lanes and Hispano-Moorish architecture on a guided walk, ending with a memorable sunset view over the city.
Overnight: ChefchaouenMeals: Breakfast
Day 3Chefchaouen → Rif Mountains → Ouazzane → FèsMountain walk • Local farm • Hidden green medina
Today blends mountain scenery, authentic local tradition, and lesser-known cultural gems before you arrive in imperial Fès.
Begin with a guided walk through the Rif Mountains, where fresh air, scenic trails, and village landscapes reveal a quieter and more intimate side of Morocco. The experience continues with a visit to a local family farm, where you’ll take part in a hands-on goat cheese making experience that adds a warm, personal dimension to the day. Later, stop in Ouazzane, a hidden gem often overlooked by most travellers, where the town’s distinctive green medina creates a uniquely memorable atmosphere. By early evening, arrive in Fès and sit down to an included dinner featuring regional specialties such as pastilla.
Exclusive inclusion: Local Living Moment – Rif Mountain Hike & Goat Cheese Making.
Overnight: FèsMeals: Breakfast • Dinner
Day 4Guided exploration of FèsAncient medina • Historic landmarks • Tannery visit
Spend the day immersed in the remarkable medina of Fès, one of the oldest and most fascinating urban centers in the world.
Your guided visit takes you into the heart of the city’s vast medina, where more than 9,000 winding streets create an extraordinary maze of daily life, craftsmanship, and history. As you move through its gates and hidden passageways, you’ll encounter important landmarks, traditional artisan quarters, and the layered atmosphere that makes Fès so legendary. The experience concludes at the famous tannery, one of the city’s most iconic sights. Later, enjoy free time for lunch in the medina and the chance to explore at your own pace in the evening.
Overnight: FèsMeals: Breakfast
Day 5Fès → Volubilis → Meknes → CasablancaRoman heritage • Imperial history • Atlantic city
Travel west toward Casablanca with a day shaped by history, archaeology, and imperial legacy.
The first major stop is Volubilis, where the ancient Roman ruins open a window into a remarkable chapter of Morocco’s past. Walking among its remains, you’ll gain insight into the site’s cultural and historical importance. The journey then continues to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where historical landmarks and a vibrant souk atmosphere bring another layer of depth to the day. By evening, arrive in Casablanca, where the Atlantic breeze and urban energy provide a striking contrast to the ancient worlds you explored earlier.
Enjoy a full day discovering Casablanca’s famous landmarks as well as the local character that gives the city its distinct identity.
From grand religious architecture to elegant civic buildings, Casablanca reveals itself as a city of contrast, scale, and movement. Throughout the day, you’ll experience both its headline sights and its quieter details, from everyday corners to places that reflect its layered past and modern rhythm. Bakeries, historic streets, and hidden gems add texture to the experience, while the evening remains free for you to unwind or join an optional group dinner.
Overnight: CasablancaMeals: Breakfast • Lunch
Day 7Casablanca → Marrakech → OuarzazateScenic transfer • Atlas gateway • Optional dinner
Today’s route leads away from the Atlantic coast and toward the dramatic landscapes south of the High Atlas Mountains.
After departing Casablanca, continue inland toward Marrakech before pressing onward to Ouarzazate, a city long associated with desert routes, kasbah landscapes, and cinematic scenery. The changing terrain gradually introduces a different side of Morocco, where wide horizons and southern light begin to shape the journey. Arrive in the evening, settle into your accommodation, and enjoy the option of sharing dinner with the group.
The journey turns more remote today as you move toward the edge of the Sahara for your first desert night under the stars.
Before leaving Ouarzazate, visit the famous Atlas Film Studios and discover how Morocco’s dramatic settings have played a role in international filmmaking. From there, travel through Zagora and continue onward to Mhamid, where the true desert experience begins. The final approach unfolds on foot as you walk into the dunes for around two hours, arriving at camp near sunset. With tea in hand, watch the colours of the sky change as the sun drops below the horizon, setting the stage for a peaceful evening in the desert.
Day 9Erg Lihoudi Camp → Bertam OasisSunrise • Camel or walk • Fireside desert evening
Wake to the beauty of a Sahara sunrise and continue deeper into the desert on the second day of your Berber journey.
After breakfast at camp, set out once more into the vast open landscape, where the silence and scale of the desert become part of the experience itself. You may choose to continue on foot or ride a camel to the lunch stop, following a slower rhythm that reflects the timeless nature of these routes. Later, return briefly to modern transport as a 4x4 carries you onward to Bertam Oasis. Arriving in time for sunset, you’ll settle into camp for an evening of dinner, music, stories, and the unforgettable atmosphere of the desert after dark.
Day 10Bertam Oasis → Zagora → Skoura4x4 return • Pool break • Palm oasis town
After another sunrise in the desert, begin the transition back toward greener landscapes and oasis life.
The day starts with a 4x4 journey back to Zagora, where you’ll have time to shower, freshen up, and enjoy a well-earned break by the hotel pool after your desert adventure. This pause offers a welcome contrast to the raw simplicity of camp life. Later, continue toward Skoura, a peaceful oasis town celebrated for its date palms and calm southern atmosphere. In the evening, gather once more with the group for dinner and a relaxed close to the day.
Day 11Skoura → MarrakechFinal transfer • Tour ends in Marrakech
After breakfast, travel directly to Marrakech, where your journey comes to its conclusion.
The final transfer brings you back to one of Morocco’s most iconic cities, closing the loop on a route that has taken you from the northern coast to imperial cities, desert camps, and oasis valleys. The tour ends upon arrival in Marrakech, either at the airport around 1:00 PM or at the hotel for those extending their stay. For a smooth departure, flights should be scheduled no earlier than 4:00 PM.
